I love shooting Big Island family photography on Hawaii. This family choose my interisland special so they had two hours at several locations shooting with me over the winter holidays. It was a beautiful time in Kona.
The two hour session is wonderful because we have plenty of time to change locations and looks and to relax. Most families start out dressed for some portraits in casual beach wear and then we strip down to swimsuits to play at the beach and in the pool.
My goal with families is have them be themselves and see their natural connections and relationships. The shoot should be relaxing and fun for everyone and not a stressful experience at all.
Its all the little moments that I love to capture. The hugs and smiles and laughs and cuddles and comforting that is part of daily life in a family. The interisland special allows me to travel to all the islands in Hawaii — Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Hawaii and Maui — for family photography sessions.
This Big Island family photography session was an amazing experience. The resort the family stayed at was gorgeous. And the weather over the winter holidays was amazing. The light was beautiful and the salt spray was in the air from big waves and it just created a magic feel to my time there.
The kids and adults were fun and willing to show up and play and relax. Not every family gets in the pool or ocean but its so fun and beautiful when it happens.
This family booked my interisland family special and I spent a couple hours with them at the Four Seasons on the Big Island at Hualalai over the winter holidays.
